On August 4, 2025, the Governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley, Dr. Hussein Hamayel, received Mrs Abd Al Hakeem Administrative Director of Rivers of Mercy Medical Centre, along with her accompanying delegation, at the governor’s office. The meeting aimed to introduce the services provided by the medical centre, which include offering medical treatment at symbolic prices and providing free medications for those in need.
Mrs Abd Al Hakeem expressed the center’s willingness to cooperate with the Governorate of Jericho and the Jordan Valley and with civil society organizations, especially in providing affordable healthcare services to vulnerable groups who cannot afford treatment due to difficult economic circumstances.
Governor Hamayel praised the center’s role and initiatives, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the partnership between the healthcare and community sectors to better serve citizens and support their resilience.
